I did not want to say it, but I am in complete agreement regarding those red hat ladies. No, not my thing, but I agree completely about the persona a hat creates. Glad to read your analysis, so well done.

Congratulations on your new MacBook! One way you can transfer everything is with Super-Duper. First make a bootable backup to an external hard drive. Then import this to your new machine. Works perfect! When I had a hard drive failure on my old computer, I was even able to run off the backup! It's saved me many times.
